all of us five cabigas kids are big fans of the lord of the rings trilogy. although we're not exactly geek-level in our being fans, i'm sure that relative to other people, we would know more. take me for example, i'm the only one who hasn't read the books among my siblings yet i know that aragorn is a dunedain ranger who's also called elessar and of his connection to numenor, the story behind the white tree at minas tirith, that gandalf is called mithrandir apart from other names, and other things that you don't see in the films. we have the extended dvd versions of the first two films and are eagerly awaiting the third one.

just recently, i was filled with ecstasy when i saw a replica of aragon's sword. the one the elves re-forged from the shards of narsil, which happen to be the remains of the broken sword of isylldur when he cut the ring off sauron's finger. oh diba! and even more recently, my sister's boyfriend gives her a replica of the One Ring. yes, as in THE ring. my preciouuuussssss! we all couldn't help but play around with it, acting out scenes from the film. hehe. wala lang, just wanted to share this whole babaw moment.
