i'm slowly pledging an oath to myself that i will not go to boracay during summer or any other peak month or season. take note that i've never even stepped foot on that island. it's just that i view beaches as places where you could find yourself, not places where you find other people. not places to socialize like you're in some nightspot in manila. yung tipong relax lang, walk around, think about anything, swim, try to understand the immense effect a sea+sand+sun combo can do to you. things like that.

when I go to the beach, i don't want to worry about how I should look or what I would be wearing. i don't want to go to a beach that's a gimmick place or a bar with sand. i'd hate to see large banners on a beach, of sponsors and sponsored events. it just defeats the purpose of going to one in the first place.

a beach is an 'escape'.

you escape from the things you normally see here in the city. escape from the parties, the dancing, the dressing-up-to-look-good-on-a-friday-night routines, the noise.. the crowd. why go to a beach when everyone else who'll be there anyway are those whom you see everyday? don't see the point.

ps. i know a lot of you have been to bora already. don't worry, i have nothing against you guys.
