being ordinary and tita baby

i was in a really bad mood for most of the day. bad enough that it came to a point wherein i was contemplating on how my life seems to be so monotonous, trivial, ordinary, and superficial. i felt that my life has no direction. i felt that there's something seriously lacking or absent in it. i felt like there were a thousand and one unexplored areas in my life that are just waiting to get discovered but i choose not to just because i feel that i've lost interest in the magic that comes with discovering the new, exploring, and maintaining a sense of adventure -- in whatever aspect these words may mean.

harsh words to describe one's life, but yes, those words crossed my mind.

good enough, these realizations only lasted from bicutan until filinvest exit. (i was in the car, traveling along south super in case someone doesn't understand. we all tend to think the deep things while traveling in the car i suppose). i'm too optimistic a person to seriously believe that the things i thought about are all fact. i don't think so. like what morpheus keeps on saying (and like what jippo said to bianca), it's all just a matter of choice.

crazily enough, this whole introspection has led me to instruct our katulongs to feed me a high protein and low carb diet starting tomorrow and made me e-mail my resume to a few companies in what formally begins my search for a part-time job while i do my thesis this second term. earn money while studying and getting slimmer. greatness.

let's just hope these things last longer than a ride from bicutan until filinvest.

i just love the feeling of bumping into a person you haven't seen in years. and i mean quite literally, YEARS. i was in a supermarket a while ago and i bumped into tita baby. interesting how her name suddenly seems like an oxymoron. she's the mom of a good friend of mine whom i also have not seen in years, let alone talk to or even text. his life seems to be a telenovela of sorts but that's another story altogether. anyway, when i saw tita baby, my face just lit up and i became so happy by just seeing her again. it basically ended my bad mood for the day.

tita baby, together with that friend of mine and their entire family, is a big part of my adolescent years since i spent countless hours with them, share so many great memories, and just simply know so much about them (well, at least at that time). seeing her made me reaffirm to myself that my life is not superficial. it is not monotonous. it is not ordinary. thank you tita baby.
