- a year ago i officially contibuted to the country's unemployment rate. a year after, i contributed to the country's pinoy-saying-bye-bye-to-work-abroad rate to begin on my second job.
- a year ago i was living in a nice little suburban house south of manila with my family, two househelps, and a dog. now i live in a nice little suburban apartment south of kuala lumpur without my family, two househelps, and dog. i do have a thirty-something married woman who has two kids back home, a clubhouse, a small gym, a pool... and a lake!
- a year ago i was fat. and i mean 190 lbs., 38 inch waistline fat. now i hover in between the 135 to 140 lbs. range and wear size 30 jeans. not bad.
- a year ago i was 100% financially dependent on my parents. now i am 100% financially independent from them.
- a year ago, i normally meet people with names like carissa and josie, or francis and carlos. now i meet people with names such as kumar and selvanathan, hidayat and fauziah, mohammed and ramish.
on other trivial things, i really miss boxing. i've accepted the fact that i will never be able to train here like i did before. or even train at all. boxing gyms here that have the traditional non-kickboxing training are few, far, and expensive. i used to spend 150 pesos for one hour of boxing. here, it's 150 ringgit for one hour. and that's multiplied by 14 to get the equivalent in peso. hassle talaga. hay. what pisses me off sometimes is the fact that i left my boxing life during the time when it was about to peak since i was just two weeks away from my first boxing match when i left. grrr. panget talaga mabitin pag malapit na mag climax. hahaha. i just had to write that.
this, however, excites me in a way since it forces me to look for other hobbies or means of getting fit. until my next obssession.
