after 2 and a half weeks of watching tv, playing ps2, and general solitary confinement at home, i finally had a reason to go to school: course cards. actually, course card. i only have one eh since 3 units lang ako for first term.
i always enjoy course card day, mataas man grades ko o hindi. i love the whole feel of this day when you look around and you see people crying, computing their gpa, begging their profs to put at least a line on their card (i.e. a 1.0=pasang awa as opposed to 0.0=bagsak), etc.
i got a 2.0 in my last numerical course card ever (my following grades would just be either pass or fail since thesis na lang and practicum). bad trip pero ok lang, i knew it would be that way anyway. but what surprised me today was the result of my comprehensive exams in economics: i passed 2! one to go na lang! woohoo! it's amazing for me since i did not study at all for the 3 exams i was supposed to take: microeconomics, macroeconomics, and public finance. as expected, micro ako sablay. oh well. kayang-kaya na 'to this 2nd term.
my favorite commonly said course card day expressions:
1.) sssiiiiiiiiiirrrrr!!!!!! sssiiiiiiiigggeeee nnnnaaaaa pppoooo!!
2.) immortal na ako!!
3.) oh, ok ka lang? bagsak ka accounting noh?
4.) lecheng castell na 'yan!
5.) tangina, inuman na 'to tonight!
6.) yes! yes! YES! ==> after the prof gives the grade
7.) shet, bad trip... yosi tayo agno!

speaking of ps2, i have recently been discovering the joys of ps2 and how much it effectively kills time while it makes you enjoy every second of it. this is such an amazing machine i swear. i've officially become the stereotypical young adult couch potato/zombie with a controller.
