on moving on and other random thoughts

i've been spending a lot of time at home recently since i have nothing to do in school anymore. most of my academic requirements can be done at home. it's a whole new lifestyle characterized by tv, the internet, books, being home alone, cleaning your room and realizing that you have tons of accumulated stuff, plus doing some errands for the family since i'm now the resident house boy. hassle-hoff.

like what cheng said, http://www.livejournal.com/users/happythought, after hanging out with the same people everyday for years and just staying at the tambayan or other places near school like the now defunct dummie's and brother's (those were the days!), seeing your friends less and less 'cause of graduation and employment needs a little getting adjusted to. although medyo nasasanay na ako.

i've noticed that a lot of my friends mention this whenever i blog hop. we're all in that stage kasi where we have to accept that college is over (or in my case, almost over -- sana nga!), that the best years in your life may have just passed by (since our parents always reminisce how high school and college were the best years of their lives), and the hardest part is being able to accept that and move on. ang senti ko naman. truly, being in your early twenties is a really hard stage in your life i guess. you're not old, yet you're not young anymore. and you're at that stage in your life when words like 'career' and 'job' are taken more seriously than 'gimmicks' and 'going-out'. oh well. at least what excites me about the idea of moving on is the fact that you move on to another stage in your life. now that's something to look forward to.

in other non-senti news, all this jueteng and wire-tapped conversations ek-ek flooding tv and the newspapers is seriously starting to piss me off. but although i never voted for gloria, i highly doubt if matatanggal siya. hay. i love our country and am very proud being a pinoy but there are just some things about our culture, political culture at the very least, that just disappoints me.
