goodbye college part 3

blogger's note: unemployment has been really great so far since i've been doing so many little "nothings" that i'm not usually able to do. tv, movies, looooong net surfing sessions, eating (more of it), and of course, sleep. anyway, this entry is about the places that i'll definitely miss in college.

1.) ls building/ls hallway
short for "la salle" of course. this was my building for almost my entire stay in college kasi dito based ang college of business and eco. i shall miss walking along these halls. yung mga times na ikaw lang naglalakad tapos ang liwanag at nakakasilaw kasi white lahat ng walls. and the times na umuulan at hindi ka na makalakad dahil ang dulas. and every 10 minute break kung san ang daming tao!

2.) chapel
my refuge. my sanctuary.

3.) agno
the famous street. used to hang out here a lot during my frosh year for the cheap street food (as in for 30 pesos, 8 na siomai tapos isang kanin) and the quick yosi breaks. was sometimes called "hepa lane". rumor once spread as to why there weren't any cats in the area. hehe. saw it change over the years but the essence of the place is still the same. for some reason, iba talaga ang feeling pag nasa agno ka.

4.) sj walk
short for "st. joseph". la salle's main walkway. to me, i sometimes call it "lait lane". just sit on a bench and you'll definitely fulfill your daily lait fix in five minutes. hehe. but seriously, every single lasallian walks along this walk everyday. sort of like an artery for people traffic. so just walking thru it all is an experience altogether.

5.) pebble wash
site of my first tambayan. i shall remember it since it practically defined my hang out place when i was a frosh. it looks different now though.

6.) central plaza
i think the name itself speaks for itself. if sj walk was an artery, this was the heart. not to mention, this was the site of so many activities and the "view" from my tambayan.

7.) yuchengco building
oh man. site of millions of hours of org meetings, org trainings, discussions, and other stuff. i shall miss the 6pm to 10pm meetings, the times when my org will have an entire floor all to ourselves, the heated discussions, the planning sessions, the trainings... everything!

8.) brothers!
the legendary big brothers. a kainan near la salle. the ultimate tambayan. it doesn't exist anymore but this place occupied a large part of my college life and the lives of a whole bunch of other people. we all hung out here as if we were employees: 8am to 5pm! minsan, may overtime pa! hehehehe! if taken collectively, the time i spent here has been one my greatest college experiences. and to think, all we did was... tambay! i shall miss the couch, the freezer-aircon, the chicken wings, the liempo, the chicken barbecue, the tong-its sessions, the yosi sessions, the chismis sessions, the tulog sessions, the tambay sessions, the sige-hindi-na-lang-ako-papasok-tatambay-na-lang-ako moments. lahat! (together with brothers, i would also like to mention the significant contributions of other tambayans that have all "passed away": dummies, carl's jr., and sizzling) hehehehe!

9.) tapat tambayan
my tambayan. my "bench". my meeting place. my lalagyan ng gamit. my org. this is the place i'd always have to visit in la salle. more often than not, this is the first place i go to and the last place i'll be coming from whenever i'm in school. this is my org's tambayan, tapat. i can write too many things about this place. but one thing is for sure, it will definitely hold a special place in my book of college memories.
