i had a so-so christmas. i don't think it's advisable to spend christmas in a pre-dominantly muslim country. for obvious reasons. no parols. no beautiful lights. no cool weather. no christmas vibe. no dinners with different groups of people every single night. but it wasn't so bad i guess. i went to mass with probably half the catholic population in KL then had pizza for noche buena with my pinoy colleagues.
luckily enough, i was allowed to go back home for a week for the new year since it was dad's 60th birthday on december 31. considering that all i really did was do the grocery, go the market, eat, eat, meet up with friends, eat, and eat, and buy some stuff at the mall... i felt really busy during that week.
photos of my manila visit can be found at my multiply.
i've said goodbye to boxing, for now. i boxed for just one session during my visit... but spent 3 hours in it! haha. i was glad to know that i could still handle a long hard session and i wasn't in such a bad shape since i haven't worn my gloves in 4 months. but that session was my temporary goodbye to boxing. temporary because i know that if i decide to return to manila, i'll go into it full blast once again. i felt so senti afterwards, labo no? this is what your hands will look like if you waited 4 months for another boxing session:
i practically spent two entire days with my mom preparing for dad's 60th. we did the grocery in TWO supermarkets one day then went to farmer's market in cubao the next day. we live in las pinas. panalo i swear.
went out with my HS friends at serendra then again after the new year fireworks. went out with my college friends for some wholesome KTV-ing. bought some dried mangoes for my malaysian colleagues who happen to be mad about it then went back here.
